Destination training programme

Here you will find information for those who want to expand their knowledge of Gothenburg in order to better assist the visitors you meet in your work.

Learn about the destination on your own or by meeting with us

Whether you work in a hotel, restaurant, museum or other visitor attraction, we know that questions often arise about what Gothenburg has to offer. If you are short on inspiration, take a look at the guides on goteborg.com for ideas on what to explore.

Enhance your knowledge of Gothenburg with our training programmes

In May each year, we organise guided tours by bus and on foot, led by an authorised Gothenburg guide. Keep an eye out for the invitation in spring. Contact ninna.kvarby@goteborg.com if you would like to know more or if you have not previously received an invitation.

Order printed materials and maps

There are around 75 brochure stands across the destination. They are stocked with printed materials from tourism industry stakeholders and can be found at accommodation facilities, arrival halls, major attractions and, of course, at Gothenburg Visitor Centre.

The printed materials contain helpful information when assisting visitors.

  • The Gothenburg Guide, available in several languages and downloadable as a PDF on goteborg.com.
  • The official map of Gothenburg and the archipelago.
  • Gothenburg’s official tear-off map.

If you have a Göteborg & Co brochure stand, please email turistservice@goteborg.com and they will bring additional maps the next time it is due to be restocked.
