Sweden’s largest Job Fair creates a digital learning platform for young people with a focus on employment

The association Skarpt Läge is launching a new digital platform in collaboration with the Trade and Industry Group as well as Team Göteborg at Göteborg & Co and other partners. “Jobbpoolen” is the first learning platform with a focus on helping job-seeking young adults between the ages of 16 and 30 years old in Västra Götaland to work, study or find other forms of employment.

is not only a cyclical problem but that there are also structural reasons behind these figures. For young people, contacts and networks are important to get in touch with potential employers and this is what we offer with Skarpt Läges Jobbpool”, says Fredrik Karlsson, Chairman of the Association Skarpt Läge.

The functions of Jopbbpoolen as a platform is to help young people to learn more about the job-hunting process, to get a direct contact with the business community and with the labor market. The biggest focus is on bringing in employers who can hold virtual study visits and inspirational workshops to showcase each industry. The goal is to provide skills in various areas and inspire young people so that they get a sustainable employment. Thanks to a collaboration with youth associations and organizations, the platform also offers extra help with, for example, CVs, personal letters, or digital tools.

The association Skarpt Läge has arranged job fairs since 2014 and has built up a large employer network with a focus on employment for young people between 16–30 years old. All exhibitors can directly advertise via Jobbpoolen. Digital job fairs will also be organized via the new tool “The Job Platform” in the spring.
