West Sweden’s Network Against Prostitution and Human Trafficking within the tourism industry
Göteborg & Co, on behalf of the City of Gothenburg, coordinates a network with a mission to prevent prostitution and human trafficking for sexual purposes within the tourism industry. The network is a collaboration between the hospitality industry, the culture and event sectors, government agencies, and non-profit organisations with expert knowledge.

About the network
The network includes hotels, hostels, restaurants, taxi companies, cultural institutions, and event organisers. Each organisation chooses contact persons to take part in the network and share information within their own workplace.
The project group includes the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, the Police Human Trafficking Unit, Social Services (Centrum District), and Göteborg & Co.

Our Goals
- To increase knowledge and awareness about prostitution and human trafficking
- To share experiences and learn from each other
- To support hotels, taxis, restaurants, and event organisers
- To make it easier to take action and prevent exploitation
Activities and Support
The network organises two meetings and two education sessions every year. All organisations in the hospitality industry are welcome to join.
The goal is to learn more together, share challenges and experiences, and create useful training materials for the industry.
