Personal data for the Media Bank
Göteborg & Co is tasked with marketing Gothenburg and the Gothenburg region, as well as guiding how the destination is presented. To support this, the company maintains a media bank of images and videos that other stakeholders can use when promoting the destination of Gothenburg.
What are your images used for?
We use images to showcase and communicate the destination of Gothenburg by providing images and videos in a publicly accessible media bank. The legal basis for this processing is the agreement you entered into at the time of the photography (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Anyone can download images and videos from the media bank to use in presenting and communicating the destination of Gothenburg and the Gothenburg region. When downloading material, the user must specify its intended use and who is responsible for it.
Where is the media bank located?
The media bank is public, meaning it is open to anyone, and is available on the company’s website: Media Bank Göteborg & Co (mediaflowportal.com)
How long are your images retained?
Images and videos in the public media bank are removed when they become visually outdated or are no longer used. This is typically due to changes in the cityscape, the presence of children in the material, or because the quality of the material appears outdated. Images and videos that are not used are regularly removed, and it is uncommon for material to remain in the media bank for more than ten years.
When images are removed from the public media bank, they are either deleted or archived in accordance with Swedish archival legislation.
