Personal data for the Destination Barometer
Göteborg & Co’s Destination Barometer includes a panel of representatives from the tourism industry who are invited once a quarter to answer questions about the businesses they represent.
Purpose
The company processes the names, workplaces, job titles, email addresses and telephone numbers of business representatives in order to recruit participants to the panel. The data are obtained from our internal CRM system, previous interactions with the company, and publicly available sources.
The survey responses and the information provided are used by the company to send out quarterly surveys to business representatives, with the aim of monitoring developments in the tourism industry at an overall level and analysing the destination’s tourism sector.
Legal basis
One of the company’s assignments under its owner directives is to monitor and analyse how the city’s work is carried out in relation to its tourism objectives. On this basis, the company’s processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, Article 6(1)(e) GDPR.
Sharing and storage
The company uses the IT system eMarketeer to administer the Destination Barometer. eMarketeer AB acts as the company’s data processor for processing carried out within the system. The company also engages an external analysis consultant to manage the Destination Barometer and process personal data.
We use your personal data for as long as you are part of the Destination Barometer and then archive them in accordance with Swedish archival legislation.
