International students welcomed to Zenseact
Around 40 international students were on April 16 visiting Zenseact, a Swedish company that develops technology for self-driving cars and advanced driver assistance systems. The company is owned by Volvo Cars and has a focus on the usage of AI and software to decrease traffic accidents. The students that participated are studying software technology, automation, data science or similar, and were very interested.

The visit consisted of multiple presentations and networking possibilities. Gabriel Campos, Technical Expert Research & Collaboration, talked about the technology Zenseact uses and how it is applied, something that generated wide engagement. He and Vaishali Kowshik, System Designer AD/ADAS, shared their journeys from their respective home countries to being employed in Sweden. Vaishali also spoke about engineering and how to apply lessons from engineering to life.
The finishing moment of the visit was an exclusive insight into Zenseact’s highly technological lab, presented by Bruno Augusto. The students could walk around and check out the real software and gain an even deeper understanding of how Zenseact works.

She thought it was inspiring to listen to how they apply knowledge on real life cases:
– And I feel more motivated to search, to deepen my knowledge about, for example, AI and machine learning, and also to apply for the other roles such as masters’ thesis.
