Originally from Pakistan, Salman came to Sweden to study Engineering Mathematics and Computational Science at Chalmers University of Technology, a program that offers a unique combination and a solid foundation that is very valuable in the industry according to Salman.

Salman shared that he is currently exploring options for his master’s thesis and that he wanted to join the company visit at Zenseact due to his interest in the company and their work with vehicle software.

“I wanted to find out what is like to work here. In the future, I want to work in an innovative company with a collaborative environment. This visit provided me with insights I was hoping for. I found this visit fantastic. Our hosts gave excellent presentations,” says Salman Shahid

Unimeet Gothenburg’s ambition in organizing company visits for international students and researchers is to, together with the companies and employers in the Gothenburg region, showcase the city as an attractive workplace and attract future international talents to stay in Gothenburg after completing their studies.

Unimeet Gothenburg is a collaboration between the University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology, and The Trade & Industry Group at Göteborg & Co, aimed at strengthening the exchange between the universities’ international students and researchers and the business community, creating cultural and social meeting places, as well as networking opportunities.
