About Vinga
In Gothenburg’s outer archipelago lies the island Vinga. The island is the westernmost point of Gothenburg, and the childhood home of Swedish music legend and troubadour Evert Taube. Some of his belongings such as his lute, are now housed in the Vinga Museum, situated higher up on the island. Besides the museum, visitors can also explore the Vinga lighthouse and beacon, get a guided tour of the island with the association Winga Vänner, or enjoy any of the island’s beautiful walking trails and swimming spots.
The archipelago tour to Vinga is operated by Styrsöbolaget and is a result of the initiative “ A more accessible archipelago”, carried out in collaboration with Göteborg & Co, among other various actors.
