In order to provide closer links with outlying districts of the city before the 400^th anniversary of Gothenburg, the public transport office is planning a cable car over the river Göta. The idea was originally requested by the residents of Gothenburg and is now closer to reality. Earlier this year, an architectural competition was launched to select the design of the cable car’s stations and towers. You can now see pictures of the four final proposals.

Proposals will be displayed in a travelling exhibition starting on Monday 30th October. It will be displayed during a month in various places in the city such as the public transport office, Lindholmen, Järntorget and Wieselgrensplatsen areas. Anyone who wants to ask questions about the project will get the chance to do so during visiting hours.

The winning proposal will be chosen by an independent jury of experts and revealed on February 8^th 2018. The names of the architects behind each proposal are kept secret until the ultimate results.
